Meet Dennis

I’ve always loved houses.

I’ve been involved in one way or another with real estate since I was an undergrad at UC, rehabbing historic properties from the ground up while working my way to an undergraduate degree in Marketing.

Upon graduation from the University of Cincinnati I got married, bought a six family house to rehab. Our first daughter was born  and I took a job as an Account Representative at Sysco Food Service. I won and was nominated for numerous awards during my time there, including salesman of the year.

In the late seventies, my wife, who was an accountant, and I had the opportunity to acquire an existing accounting practice. We had always wanted our own business, so I went back to school and obtained my MBA with a concentration in accounting and tax, and joined her in our accounting practice. Times were tough in those early years with interest rates as high as 21%. So in the fall of 1983, building on my previous experience, I obtained my real estate license and used it to supplement our family’s situation.

After a few years, Procter & Gamble, who was a client of our accounting practice, offered me the accounting job of a lifetime,  I took it and put my real estate license in escrow.  I worked at P&G for nine years. It was a great place to work, but when the decision came to relocate my family or stay in my hometown of Cincinnati, I chose the Queen City.

But the bug for houses never left me.

In 2001, I left the accounting practice altogether and returned to my first love full-time with Comey and Shepherd’s Anderson Township office. In 2005, I switched to RE/MAX Unlimited, and in 2010, RE/MAX Unlimited merged with Comey & Shepherd as a separate division.

In the years since I came back to real estate, I’ve been honored to receive numerous awards and accolades, including:

  • Ohio President’s Club
  • Comey & Shepherd’s Presidents Cup
  • Southern Ohio Association of Realtor’s Elite Club Award
  • ReMax Unlimited Executive Club
  • Five Star Agent Award 2010, & 2011 (This award is given to only the top 7% of agents based on knowledge and customer service as rated by the general public.)

I also believe that serving in a community means more than simply representing my clients. Over the years, I have coached baseball, football, and soccer, have been actively involved in the “Associate Police Captains” a fraternal organization promoting better community relations, “St. Nick at McNick”, “McNick at Night”, the erecting of the “McNicholas High School Veterans Memorial”, and worked with the American Legion and numerous churches to help make Anderson Township and Cincinnati a great place to live.

I enjoy meeting new people and look forward to meeting you.
